Thank you. You are hitting a bug which is fixed in the forthcoming 2.6 release, which applied to people who had renewed their subscription but not followed the instructions in the email, i.e. logging out and back in again on your iPad. Your iPad was therefore unaware that you had renewed and would not load the new charts. As I say, all fixed in 2.6.

I reinstalled the iPad app after saving the data. It is working fine now. I did the following:

  1. I wanted to update my charts.
  2. At downloading the chart, it dit not want to go beyond the Denmark Chart
  3. After a while I ended the program (by double clicking the "home" button and hold the finger on the app, a cross will appear)
  4. I restarted the app.
  5. I clicked the "Agree" button
  6. Almost immedeately A white box was visable (the same box you'll receive when a Metar/Taf is updated)
  7. In the box was mentioned that the Austria chart was loaded.
  8. In red it was mentioned that my subscription was ended (which is not the case, since I renewed it last February)
  9. The text was repeated several time.
  10. I stopped the app and rebooted the device with a hard reset.
  11. After starting the app a few times (the same white box was visible), in the end the app would not start at all.
  12. After clicking the "Agree" button nothing happened, also after waiting ca. 30 minutes.
I hope this wil help you to improve the App. After the reinstall it is working great again.

Can you provide any more details than "the app will not start", including any error messages and what actually happens? SkyDemon is protected against errors resulting from corrupted charts.

Hi

Connect your iPad to iTunes (or use something like iExplorer) - you can then transfer the contents of the SD folder to your computer.

If you delete the app without doing this, you will lose your saved data and settings.

I'm sure the SD team would like to hear about this problem - perhaps you should call them tomorrow. They may have a better solution.

I have an iPad 2. Recently I tried to update the maps. The update did not finish.

After this the app will not start.

What will happen to my logs If I delete the app? Can I secure the logs?
